Recently we're receiving many emails and many complaints in the forum about this problem. So I decided to create this tutorial and explain all the possible causes of this issue and possible solutions.
Reasons that can cause this error :
You are not using the High Five version of Lineage 2, or your client 's have missing or corrupted files.
Solution: Uninstall all your Lineage 2. Download the Full Lineage 2 - High Five and install everything again (including our Launcher, of course) . You can also choose to perform a Full Update with our Launcher, however this will take more time .
Your computer has been banned for attempted use of any BOT or other illegal program.
Solution: We often remove all these automatic banishments. Due they are automatic bans, this means that if you actually tried to do something illegal, you got banned before you could do something. It is also possible that the system has banned you for some other reason not real. In this case, all you have to do is wait for our next cleaning that is done automatically every day.
Your computer has been banned manually by us for any kind of disrespect to our rules.
Solution: Depending on what you did and you probably know what you did), can be a temporary or permanent banishment. Please contact us so we can just explain the situation for you.
You broke something on your computer and for some reason our Game Guard are having troubles to work in the right way.
Solution: We still do not know and can not help you since this problem is not within our reach.
Just trying to help, here's a list of what you can try (there's no guarantee that any of this will work):
1. Disable or uninstall any software that might block something on your computer (Anti-Virus, Firewall, Anti - Spyware, etc.) . This is not recommended , but we are trying to solve a problem here and we need to eliminate the maximum possible variables.
2. Uninstall your Lineage 2, other servers or any newly installed program that you think might have interfered in the matter. Use Revo Uninstaller with the advanced option to clear all the registers. (you can also use other programs to perform these cleanups such as CCleaner). After doing this " deep clean " install everything again ( and our Lineage 2 Launcher ) .
3. Check your records if the hosts file are normal. Go to the following directory: C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\etc and open the hosts file. Replace whatever is in it for 127.0.0.1 localhost
4. Run the L2 Exilium as Administrator and see if it will work now.
Still didn't work? Here is another list of more drastic actions that may solve the problem:
Restart the setup of your computer.
Performing a BIOS Update .
Format your computer and install everything again (if possible change your OS to Windows 8).
Buy another Hard Drive and install the Windows on that HD. If you have two hard drives, format the computer and install the Windows on the other one. This will change your Hardware ID and will probably solve the problem
