How to fight Zaken:
Zaken is an instanced boss. And a very good way to farm for new or little clans what can’t fight against old and bigger clans for other boss.
Here, in Exilium, Zaken have good drops with a high rate. Like Boss Weapons, Giant Codex, Giant Codex Masterys, Ancient Enchant scrolls and Crystal enchant scrolls, Ouro coins, Elegia Items and the Boss Jewell (depends of the Zaken’s level).
How to do it:
Zaken have three difficulty lvl’s:
Daytime Zaken(weak) - level 60: You need just 1 Party to do it;
Daytime Zaken(strong) - level 83: You need 2 Party’s in command channel and 12 peoples to do it;
Nighttime Zaken(strong) - level 60: You need 7 or 8 Party’s with 7 players to do it.
1) Build up your party
Depending on the type of zaken you should gather some people which at least understand what you are saying big-smile for the weak (daytime) zaken it is quite easy. just take some ppl ... doesn't matter what class you use its killed so easy but mages do a lot dmg... takes you 5min even with a random group. For the strong one you better think a bit more and build your party with good damage/healer combinations.
2) Enter the ship
Teleport from giran to the giran harbor and speak to Somulitan "Zaken Researcher" at the spawn. He will teleport you to the deck of the zaken ship.
There you will find the next npc, the Pathfinder Worker. he will teleport your group inside the ship if you meet all requirements.
3) find zaken
Once you are in, the "hard" work starts. You must now find zaken. The candles will help you to find him. If you speak to a candle, the candle either turns red or blue. If it turns blue then you know that zaken is a room which is connected with the candle. If it turns red then you know zaken is NOT in any room which is connected to the candles room. Also mobs will spawn. Take care with them, them can cancel you try to pass in safe or kill them before they can attack you.
Make sure that you lighten as less candles as possible. For reach candle you lighten Zaken will get a bit stronger. There are rumours that the drop rate decreases also. Anyway there are some tricks to find zaken.
Trick 1: use AOE skills inside the rooms, if you hit an NPC then you know zaken is in this room.
Trick 2: dont run around like a headless chicken, make sure that you understand how the Zaken ship looks like. It has 3 floors and all 3 floors look same. Each floor have 5 rooms where Zaken could be in. So there is a maximum of 15 rooms. If you use the candles clever then the maximum of candles to activate to find him is 5 (+4 to make him spawn). Look at the picture and only choose both A or both B spots to cover all on each stage. You will find him that way easy. The ramps to get down or up the stages are always in the north, just in case you lose orientation.
Trick 3: when you find the blue candle stop to activate others. Wait all party come to your room, and then start to activate the candles what are around the first. The player who activates the last candle will be the first Zaken’s target. Then, make sure the last candle is activated for a tanker or by the strongest ppl in your party.

4) Defeat Zaken
Kill him, not much to say about that. it seems it is not jumping through the ship at half HP anymore. It is easy, just care about the time and have fun
