First of all, I found that if you're having LAG, a simple Relogin can really solve it. So keep that in mind because it really works (just need to relogin the character, not the account)
Video options that causes LAG:
Terrain Range
Weather Effects
Use Improved Shader Effects
Reflections
Recommended Setting:
Terrain Range: Wide or Average
Weather Effects: None
Use Improved Shader Effects: Disable
Reflections: None
These are the settings that in my opinion have a huge impact on LAG but doesn't make much difference on the graphics.
But sometimes ALT+P will be the only solution.
Other Tips
Close everything on your computer, specially browsers or other things that might use RAM or Network
We have 5 different IP Addresses that are choosen ramdomly when you log in your account in the Game. In some cases, it's possible that your route, from your computer to that IP address in specific, is not good and might cause some losses on the way, to solve this you can just relogin your account and a new IP will be chosen. This type of LAG is diffetent, it would cause some kind of "small stucks" in the Game, not related to graphics LAG.
Do not use any kind of Proxy that claim to make your connection faster. We already use one of our own inside the Data Center Network. This will only make the route from your location to the Data Center bigger and will increase the Ping. In some cases it can reduce the route, but that is not certain and would only mean your default route is already not good.
